Thoughts on Terrence Malick
For Terrence Malick, story and characters is at the bottom of the food chain. It seems from watching his films if he could have it his way he wouldn’t even have characters at all. Its all about the psychological affects. Its all about whats your thinking about while watching the film and once the film is over.
My thoughts on Vertigo, 1958
1st Blog Post in a really long time, just really a test post.
I just saw Hitchcock’s Vertigo. I feel that the film receives most of it’s praise for it unorthodox way of filming. The angles in which Hitchcock choose to shoot are very compelling. The dream sequence is particularly indelible. I feel like enjoyed the filming technique more than I did the plot. It’s not my favorite Hitchcock film thats for sure.
